Facilities

Facilities for hire in the Village Hall are:

Main Hall:  May be used as a sports hall containing a full-sized badminton court, as a theatre seating 192 (complete with stage), or for partially-seated events such as dances for which it is licensed for 142 people.  Doors lead to an external circulating area on the south side and the enclosed Children's Play Area on the north side.  The Main Hall makes an excellent venue for wedding receptions, parties and dances.  For photographs, click on ‘Main Hall’ at the side of this page.

Stage:  At the west end of the Main Hall is a substantial Stage with an optional apron projecting beyond the proscenium arch.  The Stage is included in the hire of the Main Hall and theatre lighting is available for hire by prior arrangement.  For photo, click on ‘Stage’ at the side of this page.

Refreshment Room:  Adjacent to the Main Hall, this can be used as a buffet room or bar area.  It can also be used as a committee room seating 27 people.  For photo, click on ‘Refreshment Room’ at the side of this page.

Kitchen:  Serves the Refreshment Room by way of a large hatch.  Completely refitted in 2005, the kitchen is well-equipped, including a large oven and 'fridge, and suitable for catering for events both large and small.  There is a range of crockery to serve up to 100 people. but cutlery is limited.  For photo, click on ‘Kitchen’ at the side of this page.

Committee Room:  Seats up to 12 people.  For larger meetings, the Refreshment Room may be used.

Toilets:  Male, female and disabled toilets are located off the entrance foyer.

Car Park:  The surfaced car park has 35 spaces and its use is included in the hire of the hall.

Play Area:  The fully fenced and gated Children's Play Area is a public facility in the ownership of the hall.  It is available to hall hirers but not on an exclusive basis.
